Dear Music Lover
What a terrific Sunday afternoon in Slaidburn.
Quality music and song of only the highest standard.
The sheer beauty of the harp played with tremendous virtuosity by Maxine Molin-Rose bringing us engrossing classics and producing sounds like multi – instrumentalist arrangements.
The high temperatures played havoc with the carefully tuned strings, but Maxine overcame this as a true professional would and delivered a performance to melt our hearts.
Although these ladies have always performed well, it became evident how much more they had developed under the leadership of their Musical Director Mathew Thomas.
Credit to the ladies as well, and to the often neglected but essential accompanist David Carlston Williams.
Thank you to the team from St Andrews Church and the Village Hall for providing excellent hospitality and scrumptious cakes with drinks. All of this in one of the highest standards of village hall in the Ribble Valley and in a beautiful village.
